TLC IN 2022

Since its birth in August 2014, The Lovely Commission has provided an online space for young women to grow and thrive as disciples of Christ. In 2022, the landscape for women can often be exhausting, disheartening and confusing. We want to do our part in the midst of this to point to Christ!

Perspective

Depending on how you look at it, it's hard to know which hand is leading, which hand is comforting, which is the helped and which is the helper. This reflects the beauty of taking this journey of faith together - there will be times when you are the lifeline, and times when you need the lifeline. And then there are the sweet times when you simply walk joyfully together, hand in hand, with trusted, faithful women.

Sisterhood

At the heart of our mission is this desire for Kingdom friendships, true sisterhood in Christ. The gentleness of the interaction displays something of the power of sisterhood. Both women have been pro-active in reaching out, both give off a sense of security to the other and we can't help but assume a connection beyond words.

Affinity

Familiarity breeds vulnerability. Think of the small moments you share with your very best friends. These are moments you may not share beyond your inner circle. Here, we leave presumptions at the door and embrace an affinity with one another as daughters of the King! You'll find content here that cuts to your core, that opens your eyes, and that hopefully leads you to Christ. These are real women's stories and we choose to reject comparison and insecurity, instead embracing individuality and celebrating gifts!

Comfort

Rest, peace, inspiration, acceptance, retreat. A warm fire, a reassuring embrace, the gaze of overwhelming love from a Father whose eyes are forever on His beloved. I don't know about you, but I could do with a bit more of all of this in my life. Take this time and use this space to rest in the arms of the Father and breathe in His word for you.
